"One Punk Under God"

Jay Bakker (son of Jim & Tammy Faye) is the subject of a 6-week documentary called “One Punk Under God” on the Sundance channel. It looks pretty great for a lot of reasons.
I don’t have the channel but have been checking out the You Tube spots & I'm interested in others' thoughts (link)!

Jay’s ministry in New York is called Revolution.

saw the first episode (free on itunes right now). I actually thought it was pretty interesting and am excited to see this thing on the air. I don't have the sundance channel either, but all the episodes will be carried on itunes.

Just saw an interview this week with Jay on Larry King Live about his documentary, ministry, family, life, etc... typical Larry King stuff. I wish I could find the link for the transcript - it was really interesting. Jay sounds like a guy who's been disillusioned with the world of Christian judgmentalism & just wants to be loved. And while this sounds good on some level, it appeared to me that he's used his unmet parental love-needs as a foundation for forming a comprehensive theology of tolerance... even tolerance of sin & self-centered living. Will our emerging postmodern Christian leaders all feel that truth & love are in such dichotomous opposition to each other?
